  A fortuitous connection led the Bentley brothers to Tyler when they needed a guitarist. The instantaneous chemistry between them sparked prolific songwriting. “We’ve been driven by our love for music for as long as we can remember, and we firmly believe it’s in our blood,” Trey asserts. “Our bond with Tyler feels as strong as family. blood couldn't make us any more brothers.” “The affection and synergy we   share are reflected in our music.”

  Opening for iconic acts such as Styx, Collective Soul, Sammy Hagar & the circle, drivin & Cryin, mother's finest, and .38 special was an opportunity where these southern boys triumphed at every turn, earning new fans and standing ovations night after night. In fact, Jet Black Roses earned the spot to open for the iconic Styx on their East Coast Tour Fall 2024. Due to fan demand, Jet Black Roses released their much-anticipated debut single and music video, “King of Fools,” which tells the story of a man down on his luck who keeps making poor decisions in an attempt to better his situation. “King of Fools” is a spirited rock anthem about living in the moment and good times mixed with bad decisions. Recorded at Treesound Studios in Atlanta, the band captured the song in one take, preserving the raw energy of their live performance.​

   Trey, Andrew, and Tyler have an undeniable songwriting and vocal chemistry, and their artistry shines through their heartfelt lyrics and convicted delivery. They’ve crafted a distinct sound by writing all of the songs on their upcoming debut album with veteran producer and engineer Greg Archilla, known for his work with james brown, Collective Soul, Matchbox Twenty, Neil Young, and many others.

  Amidst the pandemic they collaborated with Archilla, perfecting their sound that merges catchy songwriting with a soulful blend of Southern rock and country under-tones. “We want our music to feel fresh yet familiar to our audience,” says Tyler Cates. “Our goal is for our songs to heal hearts, spark new beginnings, and make a lasting impression, our lyrics resonate deep emotion with our fans.” adds Trey Bentley.
